Crispy baked tofu is one of my favourite ways of eating tofu. It’s also very versatile because you can also toss this with other ingredients like noodles, salad, etc. for a complete meal. Although I eat this on its own with some sriracha sauce or kimchi as a snack. Give it a try and I hope you like it just as much as I did.
You’ll need a firm tofu like this one so that it’s easier and doesn’t crumble as much.
Serves 4 as a side (202 calories per serve)
Prep time 15 mins
Bake time 20-30 mins
Ingredients
400g firm tofu, 2cm cubes
2 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp light soy sauce
2 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp salt
60g corn flour, for coating
Preheat the oven to 220C (200C fan forced). Line a baking tray with baking paper.
In a large bowl, mix together all the ingredients except the corn flour.
Place the cornflour in a plate and coat the tofu cubes. Arrange on to the baking paper leaving ample room between each one.
Bake in the oven for 20-30 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. Ready to serve – just be careful when biting into it when it’s hot!
