This beef and broccoli stir fry is so tasty even the kids would love to eat broccoli. I just love how tender the beef is after the marinade. This dish is perfect with some steamed rice and is a popular dish at Chinese restaurants and can form part of a traditional banquet. As a main, it probably serves 2 people, but as a side it can easily serve 4. I hope you give this stir fry a go and add it to your list of Chinese “fakeaway” recipes.

Note: I used a wok for this stir fry but it works perfectly fine with a non-stick pan such as this.
Marinade the beef with the marinade ingredients and leave for 15 minutes.
In a bowl, mix the sauce ingredients together and set aside.
Blanch the broccoli florets, drain and set aside.
Heat up the oil in a wok and add the garlic and ginger and sautee unfril fragrant.
Add the beef, stirring until cooked and the sides begin to char slightly.
Pour the sauce and mix thoroughly.
Add the blanched broccoli and simmer for a few minutes. Add the water if it is getting a bit too dry.
Sprinkle some toasted sesame seeds and serve immediately wtih steamed rice.
